school art teacher who taught me for 4 years passed away a few days ago. i&#8217;ve been trying to come to terms with it, but i don&#8217;t think i can really accept this reality until i go back home next month. i just hope i can make it to the service. <br/>most of my memories from high school are from her art room. it was a sort of sanctuary where she was the cat-lady-overlord and hissed at you if you didn&#8217;t know where the tube watercolors were (even though the room was in consistent shifting chaos) and everyday you discovered a new painting on the colorful walls left by some unnamed student long graduated. many lunches were eaten and inappropriate jokes were made in that classroom. many naps were taken in the &#8220;batcave&#8221;. <span>they tore the room down the year i graduated (i feel like the school lost its soul that day). </span></p> <p>i can only say that she is the reason i am where i am today, and if there is an afterlife, she&#8217;s probably playing with
